Nicholas Abbey
St. Nicholas Abbey was built in 1658 and is the oldest functioning sugar plantation on the island. It is a plantation house, museum and a rum distillery. This one-of-a-kind experience will teach you a lot about the rich Barbadian history.
Animal Flower Cave
Located at the most northerly point of the island, Animal Flower Cave is the only accessible sea cave in Barbados. Inside the cave, sea anemones can be found, which are locally called “animal flowers” and this is how the cave got its name. On calm days, there is a swimming pool and blow hole within the cave and persons can even swim to the opening of the cave for a majestic view of the Atlantic Ocean.
