Thinking of a summer holiday at Port Ferdinand or Saint Peter’s Bay? We have some exciting news to share on the heels of Barbados’ latest travel protocols. The Government of Barbados has recently announced that effective Wednesday, May 25, 2022, fully-vaccinated travellers to Barbados will no longer have to take a COVID-19 test to enter the country. However, presently, unvaccinated travellers will still be required to present a negative COVID-19 test for entry.
As per the Barbados travel protocols, a valid negative Rapid Antigen test OR Rapid COVID-19 PCR test result done within 1 day prior to arrival in Barbados OR a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test result done within 3 days prior to arrival will be required. Unvaccinated travelers will quarantine for 3 days and then await the results of a second test before they are free to enjoy Barbados fully.
In addition to the waiver of the COVID-19 test for vaccinated travelers, masks have now become optional outdoors. Mask wearing is now currently only mandatory indoors and on public transportation.
