Several flights also operate out of the US through American Airlines, JetBlue, Caribbean Airlines and US Airways. Air Canada, Caribbean Airlines and West Jet offer direct flights from Canada. Condor also operates flights from Europe on a weekly basis and KLM Royal Dutch Airline may operate seasonal flights.
COVID tests
Barbados remains vigilant of the COVID-19 situation and presentation of a negative COVID test on arrival is still a requirement as per the most recent Barbados Travel Protocols update on 26th February 2022. Travellers are permitted to travel to Barbados with a valid negative Rapid COVID-19 PCR test OR Rapid Antigen test result done within 1 day prior to arrival in Barbados OR a negative RT-PCR COVID-19 test result done within 3 days prior to arrival. These tests must be performed by an accredited, certified or recognized laboratory. LAMP tests, self-administered tests or home kits and tests using saliva samples will NOT be accepted.
Quarantine
Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to quarantine, however, the requirement is still in place for unvaccinated travelers who are required to quarantine for three (3) days in a pre-booked hotel before taking their PCR test on day 4. Unvaccinated travelers are encouraged to book 5 days of quarantine accommodation to allow for the return of test results. Please contact Reservations for guidance on booking approved quarantine accommodation.
Online Immigration & Customs Form
During the pandemic, Barbados launched its Online ED Form to enhance the travel experience by providing travellers with an easy and convenient option, improving the ease with which travellers transit through the airport. Travellers are required to complete the online Immigration and Customs Form within 72 hours prior to arrival in Barbados. Once the form is completed, the Immigration and Customs receipts are to be saved to your mobile device or printed and presented to Immigration and Customs upon arrival.
BimSafe App
Before your arrival in Barbados, you will also want to download the BimSafe App on your mobile device. This app was developed by the Ministry of Health and Wellness to assist in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in Barbados logs location and symptoms monitoring. It is intended for use by all arriving passengers, and having it installed on your mobile, completing the online ED form and uploading your PCR test in advance will expedite your screening on arrival. The app is available on the Apple and Google Play stores.
Masks & Social Distancing
Mask wearing in Barbados is mandatory for everyone, children included, except for those who cannot wear a face covering as a result of a physical condition or other special circumstances. Masks must also be worn while being outside and in public spaces where there are too many people. If you believe you are exempt from wearing a face mask or face covering, you must contact the Ministry of Health for further guidance. Social distancing continues to be practiced with a recommendation to stay at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from other people.
